ALBERTO GUTIERREZ TLAKUILO

I am a Mexican artist living in El Valle de Atrisco. I am interested in expressing the beauty and philosophy of my indigenous heritage. For me it is very important to express what I have learned throughout the years of studying the spiritual aspect of our identity as native people to this part of our world. My hope is that my work sparks the interest and awareness of the viewers that we are stronger and better knowing and understanding our roots so that we can continue to live them in a contemporary world because we aren’t without or void of ancestral knowledge and identity. I am committed in living in a Tolteca way so that every aspect of my life is creative, sincere, loving and meaningful so that it benefits all of the people around me.
